- Pull factors: need for labor in Pacific Northwest (railroads, lumber mills), recruited as farmers in California due to dwindling Chinese/Japanese population
- Immigrant demographic: Punjabi, 80% farming class, 90% Sikhs
- Mass Immigration: 1900s
